COTSWOLDS, ENGLAND

Rolling hills and walking paths connect these picturesque villages. The smile-inducing names like Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden tempt one to wander forever. Making my way through the country fields, charming gates and pastures filled with curious creatures, I learned to avoid the nettles and to locate their antidote, always growing close by. Taking in all the Tolkien lore and finding the portal to the Mines of Moria. A visit to Stanway House to glimpse the inner workings of the mill, wander the grounds and admire the trinkets and treasures found within. This was a fine place to be and, most importantly, one was never far from a warm fire, a pint of ale and a shepherd’s pie.
