CHIANG MAI, THAILAND

The elephants drew us most to the mountainous northlands of Thailand.  Mashing bananas and nutrients properly picked for a pachyderm, we greeted our giant friends with a plethora of tasty treats before bathing in mud and rinsing ourselves clean in the creek. Drying in the warm sunshine, we trekked to a waterfall and rode atop rafts made of bamboo. Returning to the walled city and ancient moats, we trolled for samplings and shopped at a night bazaar. We beheld the white temple and wished farewell to Thailand, commencing the long journey to Laos.
