The colorful cobblestoned Trastevere neighborhood was a perfect spot to begin my adventures toward southern Italy for Rick Steves’ Europe. "Rome-ing" the streets and the city's attractions: the Jewish ghettos, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, sunset atop Janiculum Hill. Art and history alive with every step. The wine, the coffee, the food, the people, the traffic. A bright vibrant warm delicious benvenuto to Italia.
