Traveling to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala

Through my helmet, the songs of Leon Bridges serenade sweetly, setting the soundtrack. The air is warm and the scent of earth and smoke intertwine as we ride along winding paths, flanked by towering trees, through verdant valleys and quaint villages. The people, adorned with vibrant purple and pops of colorful Mayan textiles, smile and wave. The road ahead inviting us deeper into the heart of Guatemala. Counting the overabundance of car washes and witnessing the unrequited love affair between a randy ostrich and a gas station attendant had us cackling as we weaved our way to the serene shores of Lake Atitlán.
