Antigua, Guatemala
Hopping on the back of Dominic's motorcycle to join him for a leg of his grand #ANZAMOTO Adventure. We rang in the new year of 2023 in Antigua, Guatemala. Embodying the warmth and conviviality of Guatemalan culture, lanterns and twinkly lights adorn the town. Doors are open for folks to wander inside and view the extravagant decorations and wish a Feliz Año with happy smiles and handshakes. As midnight approaches, the sky erupts in a dazzling display of fireworks, casting a radiant glow over the cityscape. In a jubilant display of camaraderie, revelers join hands to count down the seconds until the new year. We stayed in a tree house overlooking the city and drank tequila with our Pompey host and his sweet dog, Snake. With its picturesque cobblestone streets topped with brightly-colored walls, bathed in perpetual sunshine and pulsating with vibrant energy, Antigua was a perfect way to bring in the new year and start this new adventure.
