CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND

A city of murals and art, the effects of the 2011 earthquake still visible, combining to make Christchurch what it is today. Stacked boxcars constructed into offices, bars, restaurants and even "high rises" dot the cityscape. What once was a form of temporary office to support the economy and aid rebuilding has now become a staple of the architecture. Visiting the 185 Empty Chairs Memorial and strolling through the parks, streets and an indoor market. We saw a silly evening of tasty beverages, connecting with a friend of Jason’s and scootering home, one block at a time.
