ROTORUA, NEW ZEALAND

While in Rotorua, we made our way to Wai-O-Tapu (Māori for “Sacred Waters”) for a day of geothermal viewings. Due to dramatic geothermal conditions beneath the surface, the area has a wonderland of hot springs. Bubbling mud, steam-filled craters and neon lakes are visible from the winding paths. We also spent time wandering the town, picnicking and soaking our tired feet in the park's foot baths.
