WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND
The Capital of New Zealand and a delightful stopping place to spend a few days before our ferry trip to the south island. Driving into Wellington is where we first heard "HAR DEER YUU" We got our bird nerd on at Zealandia. Got another dose of Lord of the Rings nerdery at the Weta Workshop. Tackled a tasting of every beer on tap at a doggo themed bar on Cuba street. Wearing fluffy robes, we pretended to be sheep after a night at the sprig and fern in downtown Petone. Staying in the Lower Hut neighborhood on the bay with a delightful older couple. Our mornings were spent chatting over toast and cereal. Our hosts flew our countries respective flags for us during our stay. I was immensely impressed that he knew the Oregon flag.
