ZAHARA DE LA SIERRA, SPAIN
We followed an ill-fated google-mapped route, filled with adventurous off-roading, cliffside turnabouts and abrupt dead-ends in our search for a splendid swimming hole. Finally discovering this beautiful town carved into a hill with a turquoise lake at her feet. We hiked her hilly streets past vistas to a Moorish outpost. Sampled some local delights and collected picnic supplies before making our way to the water. Swimming and getting feet caught in the mud, a day in the sun, crispy and happy.
