SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA

Biking in the wee hours of the morning, we arrive at the gates of Angkor Wat the very moment they open. Hurrying to stake out our spot and spy the sunrise over the spires, capturing the reflections in the pools below. Roaming the ancient ruins and clambering over the timeworn stones. Touching the intricately carved details still visible after centuries of abandon. Stepping over monstrous tree roots as they envelop the skeletal remains of once-mighty structures. One of the Seven Wonders of the World was truly a site to see.  In Siem Reap we went to Pub Street for drinks, silliness and games with the local children before crashing at our hostel and counting the cute little geckos climbing the walls.
