Road trip, PICTON to CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND

Driving the east coast of the south island offers a gamut of scenery and terrain.  Starting in warm grassy farmlands, ending in lush vegetation and mountainous roads. In between, discovering salt mines for picturesque pink pics and an airfield filled with vintage planes for touristic excursions.  The coastal route was prime for sea lion pup viewing and seaweed samurai swordplay.  Nin's Bin was a must for a New Zealand crawfish lunch. Collected that morning from pots visible from our picnic bench, our crustacean was cooked to order by Nin herself and smothered in garlic butter. With salty sea scent and landscapes unrivaled, every meal should be so charmed.
